Nerello Mascalese 2009 - Case of 6
This is a fresh and fruity, cherry flavoured Sicilian red. It is a ripe, succulent and easy-drinking with some underlying notes of coffee and cassis. ABOUT THIS WINE: This is an unusual and exciting modern Italian red, made in the sunny Agrigento region of south-west Sicily from very ripe grapes. This variety is 100% Nerello Mascalese, a local Sicilian red grape, and part of the wine has been aged in oak for 3 months which has added extra layers of flavour and complexity. The winemaker was Egidio Finazzer. SERVING: Serve at room temperature. You can enjoy this smooth red on its own, but try matching it with tomato-based pasta sauces, pizzas and roast chicken too. You must be 18 or over to purchase this product.
